Happy 2011

Well it's almost 2011!!!! Gabby has had quite the year! She is loving Kindergarten and she is loving life in the Hat. She is turning into quite the yound lady now and is changing daily before our eyes. She has learned to skate and has started a little crush on Justin Beiber...oh boy....

A Day Trip

We decided to jump in the van and take Gabby and the dogs on a little day trip to Writing on Stone Park in the Badlands. First things first, we stopped to pick up Gabby's bestest friend to come along with us. We had such a blast climbing around all the hoodoos...here are a few pics of the trip....

Fun Filled Weekend!

What a weekend!! We started off with Gabby having a babysitter Friday night so that John and I could go to my post tax season party. We were off to dance class Saturday morning where Gabby had a fitting for her costumes. Saturday night Gabby hosted her very first sleep over! Katya spent the night and I am pleased to say it was a blast! They didn't start bickering until the next day just as Katya was leaving...lol....Then....on Sunday Gabby had a birthday party at the pool....and had a great time!

Luckily, Monday was low key. I had the day off so I kept Gabby home and we had a fun day together! Here are a few pics...

Happy Birthday Gabby!

Gabby celebrated her 5th birthday on April 20. We had a party for her this weekend at the bowling alley/Kids play place. It was very interesting to have 16 kids from ages 2-9 bowl! They had a blast though and Gabby had quite the day as we left our party and went straight to another party for a classmate! What a day!

I find it quite sweet that since turning 5, Gabby has declared herself a "big girl" and is determined to do EVERYTHING on her own to show us how big she is. It's no good telling her that sometimes Mama needs to help...she is not having any of it!

So Proud!

Gabby's dance school has invited Gabby to become part of the school's dance company!!!! That means more dance time next year and possibly some competitions in the near future! Gabby's teacher said that she sees a huge potential in Gabby as a dancer. Way to go Gabby! We are so proud of you!!!!

Lots of Dancing

So Gabby is becoming quite the dancing queen. She got to go to a dance at Daddy's school with him last week and was not shy on the dance floor. She even had a break dancing "dance off" with one of the kids from John's class!

Last night was family night at Gabby's school for preschool. Gabby had lots of fun there but the best part was the 100 days of school dance in her gym. Gabby had so much fun dancing with her friends and she even danced with older kids from grade 4 and 5!! Wow! Gabby is apparently quite popular!

Today was the Valentine's party and she said it was a great time.....boy I am getting tired just thinking about all the activity!

Peter Pan

Gosh, Gabby makes us laugh and smile soooo much! We took her to see Peter Pan at the Esplanade on Saturday (front row fairy dust seats). She was just captivated with all the singing and dancing. She was on the edge of her seat the whole evening and even managed to stay awake even though the show went on until 10 pm! She exclaimed on the car ride home that she now wants to be an actress! As John said, we will now have to withdraw her application to Jedi School.....
