Gosh, it has started already! I didn't think we would have trouble getting Gabby out of bed until she was a teenager at least but apparently not. This morning I was bored (it was 9:00 am after all) and I was coaxing Gabby to get up. I said, "Gabby, let's have get up time" and she replied with "Uh uh, 5 more minutes!" Umm, yeah, OK!

Is it time?

So we started potty training today (well...more like potty awareness). We are trying to get her use to the potty. She hasn't gone to the potty yet and I'm not sure how long it will take but I guess we are in it for the long haul now. It should be fun....NOT!

Gabby is enjoying the new warmer weather and she wants to be outside constantly. We had a back-yard fire last night and Gabby LOVED it! She crashed when she finally gave in and went to bed and slept for 12 whole hours! Gotta love that fresh air!

Lisa bought Gabby a green "grass" skirt which Gabby calls her dance skirt. She will put it on and dance around like the penguins on Happy Feet. It is so cute...I may have a video clip....I will have to look. In the mean time enjoy these pictures!

My baby is 2

I can't believe Gabby is 2 already! Where did the time go? Gabby had her party on Sunday and she had lots of fun. She enjoyed playing with her friends and of course, opening all of those presents! She got lots of fun stuff - even a swing and jungle gym!

Happy Feet

So Gabby LOVES the Movie Happy Feet. She loves to do the "penguin dance" and she is always tap dancing now. She was doing so when out for lunch with Dad and Uncle Greg and the server just loved her! Of course, Gabby tends to attract attention wherever she goes. The receptionist at the dentist kept telling her how adorable she was and Gabby just ate it up!

She also likes to do the "penguin dance" naked and I have pics - but I can't post those of course! You will have to take my word for it that they are hilarious.

Gabby was watching a movie in bed and decided that she needed company. She patted her pillow and told Uncle Mike to "Get In"....

You've missed Gabby?

I am so sorry that I have not been able to post pics lately. I could get nowhere near the computer while renovations were happening. There is quite a bit happening in Gabby Land. She is talking up a storm like a little expert. She is talking in complete sentences now and the stuff that comes out of her mouth is amazing!!! Apparently she goes to work every morning just like Mom and Dad!

Her new favorite phrases are "Yeah, sure" and "Uh huh, I do" - I don't know where she gets it!

When we go to the restaurant, I usually go up to the salad bar to get her some fruit and I always say, "I'll be right back" while touching her shoulder. Well she has since developed quite a taste for Chinese Noodles and the last time we went out, we just sat down when she turned to me, touched my shoulder and said "you be right back - noodles". It was so funny! I told her that I can't just go get noodles - that we have to order them first so she said, "you be back - chicken"
Ha Ha - that was so funny!

She just loves having Greg and Lisa live with us and she always looks for them first thing in the morning. Here are a few pictures I've taken over the past week or so...

Gabby's New Digs

Well we finally got the floor done downstairs. John did a wonderful job! He still has to do the moldings yet - but it looks great.

We set up a better area for Gabby in the Family Room as you can see and she actually got some Christmas gifts for the first time as a result. She just adores her new "apartment" and especially loves her talking vanity! Thanks everyone for all of the wonderful things you gave her - she really loves it!

Oh, you can't see it but the drum set is on the opposite wall and let's just say she has been using them!!!!!

They're Here!

Uncle Greg and Aunt Lisa finally made it! Gabby just adores them. She asks "Where's Lisa?" every morning with her characteristic shrug of the shoulders. Her new thing is to ask "What happings next?" It is very cute!
