Silly Mama!

Here is a video of Gabby and I fooling around before bath time a few nights ago. She sure loves getting her bath. She stands up in her bath now! We also fill the tub completely so she can play. I'll be sure to get a video of it soon.

Gabby is feeling better now - no more nasty flu. She is napping better today. She is now on her second nap!

Last night I babysat for a friend. Gabby had a great time playing with the kids as usual. She even woke up at 11:30 and stayed up to ring in the new year with Mama and Dad! It was so special!

Bittersweet

We had to lower the mattress in Gabby's crib today. We noticed that she was pulling herself up to her knees and hanging over the crib...and with a little help she was standing completely! Then (after the camera was put away of course!) she stood on her own! Wow! I can't believe my little girl is growing up!

She was so tired today after a trip to Whitecourt and a little play date with Jade! She ate a huge bowl of oatmeal for supper and then washed it down with some Cheerios. Growing girl! After supper she had a bath and played some more but started to get really tired so I brought her up to her room to watch The Care Bears on her new Mickey Mouse TV and DVD player (Grandmama). She didn't make it through opening credits and she is still down!

In other news, she is really becoming a big girl. She only wants to sit on the floor or stand up. We had to put away the swing and the jolly jumper! In a short time I'm sure she will be running around the house! Her new game is clapping her hands and saying "yay" whenever I say "Yay Gabby". All I have to do now is say yay and her hands start clapping! It is too cute! Here are a few pics from today. I will post some videos tomorrow. Enjoy!

I'm still waiting for my camera batteries to recharge so in the meantime you will have to make due with a picture from Christmas Eve. Gabby loved the Christmas Wrap! I will post again later in the week with more pics and all the news...

I am admitting today that I HATED my hair growing out!

Today I decided to go back to my old favorite - I chopped it off! And boy do I feel great!!!! Here are a few pics of the new do - keep in mind please that I am sick, tired, and not wearing make up. Plus it isn't styled exactly as I would style it...but here goes...

In order to get a shower I must bring Gabby along. She sits in her vibrating chair until I'm finished. Usually she whines the entire time but lately she likes to play with magazines until I get out of the shower. She actually cries for one now! This is how I found her the other day when I stepped out of the shower! I thought she was too quiet!!!

Cookies Galore!

I am making lots of cookies today for a cookie exchange at the school tomorrow. I am making butterscotch no-bakes and they are to die for!

Gabby is still not feeling well. She even seems to be a little worse. She is still coughing and vomiting but the little sweetie is still such a happy baby. Here are a few pics I took today. She is still a little pale.

Our Sick Little Girl

It certainly has been a rough month so far. First Mom got sick and had a hospital stay, then Butch. Now John has Bronchitis and Gabby has a cold. I hope I can stay healthy, but I sure am tired! The poor baby hasn't slept much in two days. Last night she was coughing and vomiting and I had to bring her to the hospital (since I had given her medication and was worried about a reaction) but I'm glad to say everything was o.k. Except for congestion, Baby Girl is in perfect health. She is really not herself though and last night I had to spend the night rocking her in her nursing chair so that she could sleep (she can't lay down without coughing and vomiting). She seems no better today. Hopefully Mama can get some sleep today so that I can continue to take care of her. Sweetie pie, she sure is worth any loss of sleep or any sacrifice that we have to make huh? Here are some pics from yesterday, you can see she had a great nap after her first dose of medication!

Christmas Part 2

Gabby attended her first Christmas Party on Sunday. She had such a great time. She played with lots of boys and girls and even flirted with 3 little boys! People had such a laugh at how she stopped whatever she was doing to pose for the camera...then go back to whatever it was she was doing. As you can imagine, partying was hard work and Gabby fell asleep just minutes before Santa's arrival! She woke up when we put her on Santa's lap. She wasn't impressed, but not scared. Enjoy....

The Wave ~

More new Gabby stuff...she can wave hello and good-bye now! It is so cute to watch! She likes to sing now as well. She sure can hit those high notes! LOL! Also, for some strange reason, she likes to nurse while sitting up now. I don't get it but whatever works huh? She is growing up way to fast!!!! Here are a few more pics. Christmas Part 1

So what's new?

Since it's been a few days since my last blog, I thought I should update you on Gabby's progress. Wow, she is certainly changing every day!

Her new favorite activity is blowing raspberries. She is constantly full of drool because of it! Her second favorite new activity is playing with paper. I don't get that one but who am I to judge?
She now says "Mum Mum" when she wants to get up with me or when she wants to nurse. She now holds out her arms to go with someone and she now wants to stand all the time! That is exhausting since I have to hold her in a standing position! She also tries walking by putting one foot in front of the other. She is very wobbly (is this a word?) but she gives it her best shot.

It seems she is becoming an "old soul". She is so wonderful to be around. I love her so much. She is definately developing her own litle personality.
